Before You Arrive

Everything you need to know for your adventure

  • When to Arrive

    Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled tour. Please plan ahead, traffic is very unpredictable!

    If you’re running late please call us and we’ll try to accommodate you, however, this is often not possible on busy days and we do not refund late arrivals.

  • Signed Agreement Forms

    All participants must sign a participant agreement form, which can be found in the confirmation email for your reservation. Any participants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign before any activity at Mount Hermon Adventures. Waivers can be signed electronically so long as the participant completes check-in with a person over 18.

  • Age, Weight, & Height Requirements

    All guests must be 10 years old at the time of their tour.

    Redwood Canopy Tour guests must be at least 4ft 4inches tall and between 75-250lbs.

    Sequoia Aerial Adventure guests must be at least 4ft 6inches tall and between 75-250lbs.

 

What to Bring

What to Wear

  • Closed-toe shoes are required.
  • Comfortable layers for the season:
    • Summer: Long shorts, short sleeve shirt, thin jacket or sweatshirt.
    • Winter: Long pants, warm shirt, waterproof jacket. Our programs will go out rain or shine so plan your wardrobe well!

What to Bring

  • A reusable water bottle
  • Your phone, camera, or GoPro, but make sure you have a strap or some way to secure it on course.
  • Please leave all other valuables at home or locked up in your car.
  • Sunglasses are not needed in our shaded forest.
  • No weapons of any kind.

What We Provide

  • All required safety gear is provided
  • Gloves are optional and available for purchase.
  • If you forget yours, rain jacket rentals are available.
  • GoPro rentals are available, which includes an SD memory card to take home.
  • All rentals are made in person upon arrival.

Refund policy

 
We offer exciting and fun activities for the whole family, and we have a limited capacity each day. Because we are often sold out and have a waiting list, we are not able to offer refunds that do not meet our cancellation policy. When you submit payment for your reservation, you are affirming that you have read and understand the following policies:
 
 
Guest Requirements
  • Every guest must meet all age, height, and weight requirements (no exceptions).
    • Age: 10 years or older
    • Height: 52 in. for Redwood Canopy Tour, and 54 in. for Sequoia Aerial Adventure
    • Weight: At least 75 lbs, and under 250 lbs
  • Guests may not participate if pregnant (we’ll welcome you back after the baby comes!).
  • Guests may not participate if under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the activity.
  • If any guest is concerned about how current or former health conditions may affect their ability to do their booked activity, we recommend checking with a physician prior to participating.
  • We ask all guests to be in good health. If you are experiencing any signs or symptoms of illness, please contact us to reschedule or refund your tour.
Cancellation Policy
  • Bookings for 1–7 guests:
    • Cancellation and changes to guest quantity are fully refundable up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled activity time without penalty. Cancellation requests must be made in writing via email to adventures@mounthermon.org.
    • Any cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to activity time and "no shows" are not eligible for refunds. A "no show" is defined as not having arrived and checked in by activity start time.
  • Group Cancellation Policy (8 or more guests):
    • At the time of your booking, a deposit is due, equal to 50% of the total cost of your booking.
    • More than 21 days prior to a reserved activity, cancellations and changes to guest quantity are fully refundable without penalty. For example, if your booking is on Monday the 31st of the month, you would be able to submit your request to cancel your booking and have your deposit refunded up until 11:59pm on Sunday the 9th of that same month.
    • The full payment for your booking is due 21 days prior to the booked date. For example, if your booking is on Monday the 31st, your final payment must be submitted before 11:59pm on Sunday the 9th of that same month.
    • Within 21 days of your booking but more than 14 days prior, you may make any cancellations or changes to guest quantity and receive a credit equal to 50% of the total cost of the canceled reservations. This credit will be given in the form of a code sent via email that can be applied to any future bookings with us and has no expiration date. If your booking is on Monday the 31st, you may submit your request to cancel your booking and receive 50% credit up until 11:59pm on Sunday the 16th.
    • Starting 14 days before the booked date, all payments are final and no refunds or credits of any kind will be given in the event of cancellation.
  • Weather Policy:
    • We operate rain or shine, so be sure to dress for the weather! If you cancel due to weather concerns, our policies above still apply.
    • We reserve the right to cancel the event based on severe weather. If Mount Hermon Adventures cancels your event, we will reschedule you for an agreed upon date and time OR provide you with a full refund.
  • Trip Insurance:
    • At the time of your booking, or any time before 21 days prior to your booked date, you may purchase trip insurance for your activity. If you have purchased trip insurance for your booking, you may cancel and receive a full refund of the total cost of the reservation at any time with no penalties.
    • NOTE: Trip insurance is not refundable at any time for any reason. If you redeem trip insurance to receive a refund for the cost of your reservation, the cost of the trip insurance is not included in this refund.
